Acting Head of the Faculty <i><b>A.Apresyan</b>, Candidate of Science in Philology, Assistant Professor </i>The Faculty of Foreign Languages was reorganized in 2004, and is the successor to the Faculty of English, French and German languages.

Currently, approximately 1700 students are enrolled in this faculty.

The Faculty trains students in the following fields:

031100: Linguistics
English (and two foreign languages)
French (and two foreign languages)
German (and two foreign languages)
Italian (and two foreign languages)
053100: Foreign languages
English and French
English and German
English and Spanish
English and Italian
French and English
German and English
English and Persian
English and Greek

Korean and Chinese languages are also taught in the faculty.

Chair of Psychology and Social Sciences

In 2007 the Chair was reorganized into the Chair of Psychology and Social Sciences by joining the Chair of Psychology(established in 1976, the first Head of the Chair was A.A. Nalchadjyan, Candidate of Science in Psychology, Docent;) and the Chair of Social Sciences(established in 1962, the first Head of the Chair was Academician G.A. Broutyan, the second Head of the Chair was R.A. Kaitsuni, Candidate of Science in Philosophy, Professor).
Present Head of the Chair is K.A. Nalchadjyan, Candidate of Science in Psychology, Docent. Main disciplines are Practical Psychology, Philosophy, Logics, Ethics and Economics. Subjects from the 1st 5th years are General Psychology, Children and adolescent Psychology, Psychology of Personality, Training in developing skills and abilities for Psychological consulting, Ethnopsychology, Psychology of intercultural relations, Psychopathology, Social Psychology, Family Psychology, Age Physiology, Psychodiagnostics, Methods of Consulting.
Principal Trends in Scientific Researches: History of Philosophical mind, theory of knowledge (epistemology) and problems of methodology, macroeconomics, peculiarities of economic development in Armenia, ethical aspects of globalization, theory of argumentation and history of religion, Psychology of Personality, Social and clinical, children, adolescent and pedagogical, ethno and political psychology, Psychoanalysis, Philosophy, Logics, Ethics and Economics.
